What is your photographic style? I think my photos give you a better idea than I can explain. If I had to put it into words, it may be best described as a a mix of photo-journalistic, creative and traditional. I enjoy capturing candid moments along with slowing down to focus on meaningful details and natural looking portraits. Where did you learn your photography skills? I have had some training both as an undergrad and graduate student and have learned a lot on my own. I have literally spent thousands of hours getting to know the in and outs my photography equipment, have experimented with various techniques, and most importantly have begun to develop a creative eye that is defining who I am as a photographer. It is an on-going and never ending process that often pushes me to go outside of my comfort zone to be more imaginative. I try my best to shoot the finest photographs possible regardless of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances. I encourage you to read my about page to find out more. What cameras do you use? I use full frame Canon DSLR camera bodies & lenses w/ extremely high optical quality to deliver sharp images with great colors. Do you shoot in a studio? I do not shoot in a studio. I prefer to photograph my clients at locations they are interested in such as on a lake, at a park, in a coffee shop, near a street location, etc. that has a connection with my clients that personifies who they are. Theses venues make for the best backgrounds in portraits and offers the most natural light to show my clients exactly how beautiful and special they are. What is required to book a session? A 50% non-refundable retainer fee and your signature on the contract. Do you only photograph seniors? No, I also do family portraits, pet portraits, and portraits in general.
